The company does mostly residential remodeling, additions and some light commercial work. His firm completes around 80 jobs per year including repair work. Alan has written for trade magazines; teaches for NAHB’s designation programs; presents at the Remodeling Show, JLC, and many local builder/remodeler organizations on business topics such as Job Costing, Estimating, Budgeting and Business Planning as well as Green Building, Aging in Place, and profitability improvement. He is active in the NAHB Remodelers leadership, Education Committee and Business Management and IT committee activities. He was inducted into the Remodeling Hall of Fame in 2008.
